Workspace and team
Review the audit log
The audit log records who did what in the workspace and when. Only owners can open it.
Open the audit log
Go to Workspace Settings, then Audit Log. The newest events come first, and more load as you scroll down.
What it records
Estate Bookkeeper adds an entry when a member creates, changes, or deletes any of these:
- Matters, including closing, reopening, and deleting them.
- Asset, liability, equity, income, and expense accounts.
- Transactions.
- Account templates, including applying one to a matter.
- Matter tags and transaction tags.
- Saved report settings.
- Members and invitations, including invites sent, accepted, resent, and revoked, role changes, removals, and members leaving.
- Workspace settings and branding.
Each entry shows who acted, what they did, what it affected, and when. Entries for changes list the Previous and New values of each changed field.
Opening a matter to look at it does not create an entry.
Search and filter
- Type in the search box to match a user, email, action, entity, or other details.
- Use the action filter to show one kind of action, such as Create, Update, Delete, Role change, or Remove member.
- Use the entity filter to show one kind of record, such as Matter, Transaction, Template, Workspace member, or Asset account.
- Click Reset to clear the search and filters.
Who can see it
Only workspace owners. Admins and users don't see Audit Log in Workspace Settings. See Workspace roles and permissions.
Deleting a matter doesn't remove its history from the audit log.
