Invite and manage members
Owners and admins manage people on the Members page. Go to Workspace Settings, then Members. The page lists Active Members, Pending Invitations, and My Invites, the invitations you created.
Invite someone by email
- Click Invite Member.
- Enter their Email Address.
- Choose a Role. User is selected by default. Only owners see Owner as a choice.
- Click Send Invitation.
Estate Bookkeeper emails the invitation. It expires after 7 days, and only someone signed in with that email address can accept it. You can't invite yourself, a current member, or an email address that already has a pending invitation.
Share an invite link
- Click Invite Member and choose a Role.
- Click Create invite link.
- Click Copy and send the link however you like.
Anyone who opens the link and signs in can join with that role until the link expires, 7 days after you create it.
How people accept
The invitee opens the link from the email or the shared link. If they are signed in, they click Accept invite. If they don't have an account yet, they create one first. Invitations for existing users also appear under the bell icon in the header.
Manage pending invitations
- In Pending Invitations, open an email invitation's menu to Resend invite or Revoke invite. Resending also resets its expiry to 7 days from now.
- In My Invites, use Copy to copy a link invitation again. Use the menu to Edit invite, where you can change the role or extend the expiration by 3, 7, 14, or 30 days, or to Revoke invite.
Change a member's role
- In Active Members, open the member's menu and choose Change role.
- Pick the new role and click Change Role.
Admins can move members between Admin and User. Only owners can make someone an owner or change an owner's role. See Workspace roles and permissions.
Remove a member or leave
- To remove someone, open their menu, choose Remove member, and confirm. Admins can remove admins and users. Only owners can remove owners.
- To leave, open your own menu, choose Leave workspace, and confirm.
The last owner can't be removed and can't leave. Make another member an owner first.
Use Search members, the role counts, and the sort menu to find people in a long list.
